AI counsel before you post

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LegalGuard Social ("we", "our", "this app") handles your information when you use our AI-powered social media legal pre-screening service at https://legalguardsocial.com. The app is free to use, requires no account or sign-in, and stores no history of your screenings. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Post drafts and follow-up questions you submit: the text of the social media posts you ask us to screen, the platform and jurisdiction you select, and any follow-up questions you ask about the results. This content is processed in real time by our AI provider to produce your screening, platform policy review, and answers, and is not stored — once you leave the page, your draft and its results are gone.
  • No account details: the app requires no registration or login, so we collect no name, email, or password from you when screening posts.
  • Donation payments: donations are optional. Card donations (a suggested $5, $10, or $25, or a custom amount between $2 and $1,000) are processed by Stripe — we do not see or store your card details. Crypto donations (BTC or ETH) are sent directly from your wallet to a published address and involve no personal information.
  • Usage data: anonymous, aggregate counters only — total visits and screenings run, which power the site's visitor and funding displays. They contain no identifying information and cannot be linked to you. Your remaining screenings this visit are counted in your own browser's session storage and never leave your device.

How your information is used

  • To analyse your drafts for potential legal risks using artificial intelligence.
  • To process optional donations that keep the service free.
  • To maintain, improve, and secure the service.

AI-assisted analysis

Your post drafts and follow-up questions are sent to an AI language model to generate the risk assessment, flagged issues, suggested rewrites, platform policy reviews, and answers. A PDF report of your screening is generated on your own device and never uploaded. Do not submit drafts containing information you are legally or contractually obliged to keep confidential — see our Terms of Use.

Sharing with third parties

We share information only with the service providers that make the app work: our AI analysis provider, Stripe (donation payments), and our hosting and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We do not retain your drafts or screening results — nothing is stored in an account or case record, and no screening history is kept. Do not rely on the app to preserve your results; copy them before leaving the page if you want to keep them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
